St Helena – Christmas Tree-cycle activity

The Tree and Lawn Company are delighted to have been chosen to support St Helena with their Christmas Tree-cycle activity, in collaboration with Colchester Borough Council, with tree collections covering postcode regions from CO1-CO9 and CO11.

Lizzie Deed, Lizzie Deed, Corporate Fundraiser at St Helena explained “The Christmas Tree-cycle is an easy way to dispose of your tree once it’s fulfilled its festive duties and you’ll be providing St Helena with much needed funds at the same time. Every penny will go towards helping local people face incurable illness and bereavement and just £10 could pay for home cooked meals for a day for someone staying in The Hospice this winter.”

Peter Cannon, Owner/MD of the Tree and Lawn Company, said “As a local business, the Tree and Lawn Company are well aware of the immeasurable support that St Helena Hospice provide to families and friends when faced with an incurable illness and subsequently, bereavement.  We are delighted to be invited to participate with their Tree-cycle collections for the 2nd year running and to also be able to donate towards sponsoring this fund-raising event, knowing that this not only benefits the local community but the environment as well.”

You do not have to wait until Christmas to register, you can do this now via the link https://www.sthelena.org.uk/join-in/events/christmas-tree-cycle to ensure you not only support this fund raising activity but also help the environment too by avoiding putting your real trees into landfill sites. Last year, St Helena collected over 15,000 trees and raised an amazing £17,098.

Simply register, donate and your Christmas Tree will be collected and recycled!

If you can donate the use of your van and/or your time to help us with collections on Saturday 12th January, please contact Lizzie Deed on 01206 931468 or email ldeed@sthelena.org.uk.
