Tree Felling

Tree felling for diseased and dangerous trees

There are many reasons for which you may need to cut down and remove a tree, but what’s important is that it’s done safely and, ideally, by qualified professionals. Typically, the felling and removal of a tree are because it has either become diseased and cannot recover, or it is in a precarious situation where it could cause a danger to people and property.

There are lots of factors to consider when removing a tree, like knowing where and how the tree will fall to protect surrounding property and people, avoiding overhead lines and so on. Tree Felling without the right tools and expertise can present a dangerous situation. It is imperative the right equipment is utilised by experts.

Our experienced team have a number of qualifications in tree felling, such as NPTC certificate for cross-cutting and small tree felling, which means they can help you get rid your unwanted tree safely.

It is also important to understand the implications of Tree Preservation Orders. Some individual or groups of trees are protected, and this requires the services of a qualified Tree Inspector to inspect and provide his/her advice, which in turn needs to be submitted to the local authority. Our tree inspection service is comprehensive, and more information is available on our website relating to Tree Inspections and Tree Preservation Orders.

No two trees are exactly the same and it’s important that every tree to require a planned process of removal. Tailor cutting a tree to make sure it falls in the right direction, or sectional dismantling may be required if space is limited. Invariably, most trees do require segmental dismantling with limited space in which to work. The removal in segments is the safest way to fell a tree. Once the tree is felled, you’ll be left with a stump which you may also want to remove with stump grinding.

Whilst you may think getting rid of a tree is a fairly straightforward task, it is a lot more to consider than you might at first realise.

Using Tree and Lawn to carry out tree felling and removal work safely using the right equipment would be our recommendation. We offer tree felling services across Suffolk and Essex for both domestic and commercial clients.

    Testimonials

    Hedge Trimming

What a fabulous job your guys did on my hedging. Thanks again for such a prompt overall service and the standard of work. I feared I might have to lose all or part of the hedge as it had become terribly overgrown and top heavy but the end result is very,
    very impressive.

    Tree Cutting

I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending T&LC. From their initial visit and the recommendations they made, to the speed with which they obtained permission from the Council and then the extensive tree surgery itself they were supremely professional, hugely knowledgeable and a pleasure to have around doing the work.

    Lawn

Strongly recommend the Tree & Lawn Company. They supplied and laid a new front lawn to fit around a new driveway. Excellent professionalism by all the team producing a first class finish. The borders were then set off with two layers of bark/mulch. Very pleased with every aspect and will use again.
