Following a competitive tender process late last year, we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a three-year contract with Colchester City Council to provide expert tree management services across the borough.
This contract represents a significant change in the Council’s approach to tree maintenance, which was previously managed by several providers without opportunities for other businesses to bid for the work.
We are one of three specialist providers selected to share the contract and are proud to have achieved the highest overall score for our tender submission. We are the only provider among the three to hold Arboricultural Association accreditation – the gold standard for tree care professionals.
The contract, which is already underway, includes a range of tree management services that will be shared between the three successful bidders, which includes:
- Planned works: Jobs identified during routine inspections will be assigned to one of the three contractors, with larger projects, such as tree removal or lifting, requiring competitive quotes from all providers.
- Reactive works: Non-urgent tasks, including fallen trees, will be managed promptly upon notification.
- Emergency works: Urgent issues, such as dangerous trees, will be responded to within one hour to ensure public safety and compliance with relevant legislation.
We are pleased to be working with Colchester City Council on a more permanent basis to strengthen our existing partnership. This longer-term commitment will enable us to deliver consistent, exceptional tree care services across the borough.
From proactive maintenance to swift emergency response, we are committed to protecting and enhancing the Council’s green spaces, ensuring healthy and vibrant trees for all residents to enjoy.
