At the Tree and Lawn Company, emergency tree removal calls are a regular occurrence for our out-of-hours, emergency response team, requiring high levels of skill and competency.

This particular call out by Philip Liverton Ltd, a leading specialist in agricultural contracting and vegetation maintenance, required our team to remove a mature oak tree from a country lane in Great Baddow.

The callout

The project presented a unique challenge and involved extensive planning and significant physical effort due to the sheer size of the oak and its position – on a precarious bend in the road.

To ensure the safety of road users and expedite traffic flow, the team first implemented road management systems, including roadblocks, to temporarily divert traffic.

Once the traffic situation was under control, and the safety of the team and road users was assured, the tree had to be cleared to a safe distance from the roadside, which is at least a distance of 1.5 metres from the carriageway.

The outcome

The team methodically cleared the debris from around the tree to create a safe working space before using large chainsaws to systematically dismantle the substantial main trunk. As the tree was sectionally removed, our dedicated crew ensured the complete removal of debris from the site.

This project exemplifies our ability to manage emergency tree removals with precision and professionalism. Our experience and commitment to careful planning and road management allows us to swiftly and safely address even the most challenging situations with confidence and clarity.
